Why was he ejected? I couldn't hear anything at the bar.

Driscoll tossed him, Burr encouraged it.

So it really could have been anything.

He was ejected because Burr and Driscoll need to be the center of attention.

Driscoll's inferiority complex was boiling over, but nobody would do anything to let him T them up.  He decided ejecting the guy in the pink shirt would make him feel better about himself.  I swear Driscoll must have been picked on like crazy as a kid.

Jimmy Mac said the wrong fans were ejected. Those were Louisville fans, and the Marquette fans behind them were the real perpetrators.

If true, that really sucks for those guys. Those tickets could not have been cheap.

This.

Especially considering there were 36 seconds left in the first half there was no need to run to one end of the court to find security then run to the other end for the dramatic pointing out of the fans to be ejected.

Why not just let that final possession play out and before jogging off to a halftime siesta point out the fans?

I was at the game. The guy who was ejected was holding a Fl. Gator jacket

No.  It was a drawstring Gators back pack.

Maybe they were concerned that like most fans those guys would leave their seats at halftime.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

it's been my experience that there are two kinds of refs, guys who love the game and respect the guys who play/coach it and guys who love the idea of being in charge and saying "Look at me!" Most fall into the first category. Some (Driscoll for sure, Burr, Joey Crawford from the NBA) are/were in category two. I don't know who was officiating the Richmond/UNCC game but that was a clear example of guys who "over officiate". Cost Richmond the game.

While ott, I feel sorry for the spiders.  What a screwing.  A case where bad officiating really did cost them the game.

We were watching the game last night and called it that the guy in the pink shirt was going to get kicked out early in the game.  He was standing up, leaning over the media table while pointing and yelling at either the players or the refs.  Really strange behavior.

He also had a high ball glass in hand as he walked off. I'm sure there was Gatorade in it.

High ball? haven't heard that term in a while. I thought that is what 4ever gets when his viagra stays working for more than 4 hours.

I keep it old school, because I'm an old fool.

I'm also no stranger to "the brown stuff."
