Great read, thanks for posting. And a Paint Touches shout out to boot? Awesome.

Buzz plays the underdog card as well as anyone. I still think this team is capable of some very special things in the next 4 weeks

Can't wait to see what is written a few weeks from now! Got a lot of faith in thisvteam's toughness.

Grantland and SI love in the last three days; thanks for the pimp work Buzz;

Really enjoyable article; kind of makes me want the team to get the league tourney title almost as bad as that regular season championship

Didn't know our 3 point %age was that low, 29.9% ..

Not sure I'd call it "cringe worthy" except that, by looking at it in relation to others .. it's bad.

If MU made ONE extra 3-pointer every 20 shots (basically, +1 every other game) they'd be in the top 100, instead of in the 300s.

I don't have numbers to back me up, but I feel like our three point shooting has improved recently. I like that Jamil, Juan and Vander no longer hesitate to pull the trigger.

I agree with this. Not gonna do the research to see if its close to true, but it is the sense I get.

After reading that it makes me want to win the Big East Tournment even more. Hopefully we get MU/Georgetown in the championship.

I would LOVE that matchup.

Junior is taking his chances more often, too.  All this is probably a consequence of Davante getting so many extra dance partners in the paint recently.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Let's just hope we don't get made to look like fools in this first game of the tourney.  If we want respect we have to earn it starting tonight.

Of course I want them to win and keep playing because its a lot of fun, but I honestly don't care that much about tonight. I already have one eye on next week. In fact, if the committee wants to go ahead and just make us a 4 or even a 5 in the Indianapolis region, I'm down.

I'm down for that too in all reality.  I was directing my comment towards those that want more respect from the pundits when they talk about the BEast elite.  MU's gotta start doing something in the conference tourney if they want more respect.  That can start tonight.

Gotta wait until Sunday, but something tells me I might need to have a thread ready for after the Selection Show...

If we're going to Indianapolis, I want that "6" next to Marquette.  If MU is going to play IU (presumed 1-seed), I want to play beat them in the National Championship or the regional finals... simply because I want Buzz to cut down the nets someplace where Tommy is still in the building.

I like it. I'm thinking that if we were to beat the in the Sweet 16, tickets would become plentiful, and all that red would turn to gold for the regional final

That's also good.  Let's call it a win either way so long as MU gets the Indy regional.
