It just struck me that Coach Buzz Williams did not have a net cutting ceremony today at the Garden featuring himself on the ladder. How can this man consider himself a mentor and steward of these young men if he denies them the opportunity to cut the nets for winning a share of a conference title? I wonder if there are any examples where Coach Williams can learn how to celebrate such an occasion more appropriately?

Perhaps Prof. Keefe simply failed to use teal to reflect sarcasm?
We Are Marquette

SWARM!

Keefe, you might be the biggest buzzkill to come around these parts, and that's no small feat.

Aren't you disappointed they didn't cut down the nets?
Sauw a photo with a ladder at a net...

St. John's cut down the nets, actually.

I did too. Frankly, I am very glad they didn't do the net cutting thing. First it has become so cliché as to be trite. Second, winning a slice today was fantastic but these guys have some real hurdles coming up. Now comes the hard part. The trophy photos are incredible and demonstrate accomplishment. I think Buzz waived off the silliness of the net ceremony. I find that refreshing, actually.
