Does anyone else think playing in MSG on Saturday will help settle any nerves heading into next week?

I don't see it as a major advantage since most of our guys have played there quite a few times, but thinking back to how poorly we played against Louisville in the BET, I'm hoping this will ease us into next week's game at the garden.  Plus St. John's needs this one to help their tourney hopes, so I imagine it'll be a hard fought game, which will most certainly help for next week.

Not a bad point actually.  Can't hurt to get used to the sight lines a week early if nothing else.  I have a feeling we will crush SJU on Saturday.  They have completely quit on Lavin and now are missing at least 2 players.

Usually MSG on a Saturday leads to loose stool on Sunday.  ;D

I like your theory but my instincts tell me that St. John's will be a shell of its normal self with the seeming certain suspension of Pointer and the prior dismissal of Harrison.  Plus, I trust Buzz is being tough on the guys after last night so they'll be breathing fire by Saturday.  Lay the points, whatever Vegas decides.

Ah, so you're not worried about the team that has nothing to play for and has some fire in its belly after last night's fracas?

Put another way, I'm certain that Marquette WILL be ready to play.  Think 'peeing down one's leg' has been discussed in the last 18 hours?

Playing at the Garden days before the tourney should benefit us. Not sure what Red Storm team will show up, but this is a game Marquette should win. They're missing 2 of their better players and just appear uninterested.

What fire...one guy trash talking and Pointer responded with a punch or two to an ND players face.
