The best way to end court rushes on Duke is for Duke to keep losing so that it is no big deal to rush the court after a team beats them.

K's issue is that he didn't believe UVA security provided a safe exit lane for his team to get off the court and they therefore had to fight through the crowd to get to the locker room.

But if you read the narrative of events K, Capel, and Duke players were cursing UVA students:

"The 66-year-old Krzyzewski stopped and hollered an F-bomb at a fan before security could drag him away. Right behind the Hall of Fame coach were his players, some cursing at fans, some ignoring it and ducking into the hallway. Assistant coach Jeff Capel went back and yelled a few curse words while another assistant coach, Steve Wojciechowski, did his best to quickly usher players into the safe area."

Capel actually went back to hurl some curse words at the crowd!

I hope Larry is proactive on this one and sends the email to the students advising them it is not acceptable to trade F-bombs with opposing coaches.

It's the internet, man. Technology has eased communications but the degradation to the written language and civility has been astounding. There was a serendipity to reading the newspaper that is lost with the more focused search-driven behavior on-line.

Funny thing is he said that security didn't set up the ropes so Duked could egress safely. Sports Center showed the ropes were there as well as a phalanx of orange shirted jack-booted security goons.

Not according to the ESPN Talking Heads. There was a barricade line set up and a wall of security. I think it was what the UVA students were yelling rather than any physical threat.
