Hope the Bucks were looking at MCW.

Nope... all 25 were watching Davante, and Davante alone.  Had something to do with a prediction by a former mascot, apparently.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Bummer, Vander didn't show too well. Who else on our team might they have been looking at? Jamil is my best guess.

akmarq

CJ Fair likely garnered some attention as well.

Is 25 scouts a lot for a game or is that pretty much the norm for teams like 'Cuse, UNC, KU, etc who always have lottery picks on their rosters?

I really enjoy his game. If he can put on a little more weight and bang down low, while maintaining that mid-range touch, he can be special.

GoldenZebra

Those scouts were there for Cuse, not MU. Joke's on them though.

Don't know if they came to look at him, but I bet some scouts were intrigued by Mr. Taylor.

You are kidding, right?

Death on call

MUSF

Nope.

I'm not saying he would get drafted this year, but he is an NBA talent.

I can't believe there were many scouts in the building that didn't take a look at him and think that there's a good chance they'll be back to watch him 2-3 years from now...especially with buzz' reputation for developing players that play that position/have that style of game.

CTWarrior

The scouts know Taylor is not coming out this year (obviously), and their evaluations of him will be in the future when he is a featured guy getting closer to actually being in the draft.  I have no idea on how much he'll develop, but he certainly has the size and agility of NBA guy.  Earliest possible departure is after 2014-15 (junior) season.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Someone gave them a treat.  A few more eyes following DG's progress now.

If they watched him, they probably wrote his name down somewhere.

I agree, he has a big future.

Maybe the other team?

Zar Zar Binks

This may be a dumb question but does anybody know where the scouts/NBA execs normally sit when they come to a game like this? Are there designated seats for them behind the basket? On the baseline? In a box?

Niv Berkowitz

I think the majority of the scouts were there looking at Syracuse guys. But, scouts don't always look for the next draft. They are looking two-three years down the road and getting guys on the radar now. They are constantly doing that.

So, regardless of whether Taylor, Blue or Gardner were the reasons they came to the BC, they could very well be reasons they return next year and the year after that.

Buzz' track record of producing guys who are so touch, skillled and clutch by their senior year cannot be lost on these scouts. They have to know this by now and I'm sure they are going to do more homework on MU. One-two players every year under Buzz go to the NBA. And none of them were projected players in The League when they started. That's a testament to the players and the coach/staff.

By the way - JFB at the game last night! Awesome ovation for him.
