Somehow, when Al made his comment about bartending being part of one's education I always pictured Lenny's as opposed to any fern bar. Lenny's had it all: booze, hookers, gambling, parcels of contraband passed through a hand shake, furtive glances, illicit rendezvouses, anguish, pathos, and the exquisite joy of simple companionship.
