Wild year .. and a wild week that is not yet over.

I voted for Kansas losing to TCU.  Kansas is a NC contender and TCU will probably not go the NCAA, NIT or even the CBE.

LloydMooresLegs

Many big upsets, but I agree:  it's TCU, and I don't think it's that close.

TCU.  Just read last week about how they were so bad they were likely to lose out.  Second would be Florida; I thought they were the best team by far before that clunker.  IL over IU isn't that surprising, and I wouldn't even be surprised if ISU was favored over Creighton.

TCU is the biggest.    Change the poll question to 'which did you enjoy most'?

He did, but I believe suffered a season-ending injury.

I voted for Florida. The TCU upset was huge, but I just feel the gap between Florida and the rest of the SEC is so vast that I never expected that.

And you expected TCU, with an RPI of 203 (after the win) to not get destroyed by KU?  At least Arkansas is a reasonably respectable team (RPI 77).

TCU averages 54.5 points per game.

TCU's next 3 best wins are against RPI 148 (UAB) and Southern U (195) and Cal Poly (205)

Just sayin'

Biggest upset: TCU

Biggest choke job: IU

Chicos will say he didn't see the game because he was rubbing elbows with celebrities at a direct TV event.  Don't worry, he has pics.

TCU had not won since December.  Got to be TCU

He has too much class for that.

No contest, it is TCU.  Probably the biggest upset of the year thus far.

More than #1 Duke losing by 27 to Miami?  That was the worst loss by a #1 team since 1968 and the 6th worst loss by Coach K (now in his 33rd year).

I have a hard time seeing these games as killer upsets because there just don't seem to be any great teams. There's probably 4 or 5 teams that should be in the top 5, then a huge group of teams that could fall at any spot 6-50. Maybe that's a bit simplistic, but there's no dominant players. It's actually pretty fun to watch.

The biggest surprise about Illinois over Indiana was that last inbounds play with 0.9 seconds on the clock.

I didn't see the game, was helping my 11 year old daughter with her report due today.  Did see the highlights...had the game under control, played poorly in the last three minutes.  IU loses at Illinois, MU loses at UWGB.  Go figure, upsets happen.   Now maybe I'll go and comment about Buzz's wife and her looks because of that loss to UWGB...that's the play here, right?

I don't see how anyone can be surprised at any success obtained by TCU.  Remember they were recently a Big East program.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

For which I apologized many times over back in the day.  If I made the mistake once, admitted the mistake, why would I make the same mistake again after admitting as such?

I apologized, on this board and the blog where I wrote it.  I haven't seen you apologize yet for taking on the wives of coaches in such a classless manner.  A simple apology would be the classy thing to do.

I think so, even though Duke got blown out, Miami is obviously pretty darn good.  TCU, not so much.

I did not vote for TCU/Kansas, because Kansas just lost a game at home where they never lose. For whatever reasons teams play seem to play poorly in stretches (Louisville losses 3 straight). Kansas lost because they are currently in a funk like Louisville was.
