USF Postgame

So this is what it Louisville felt like over the weekend.   Really strong man to man, seem to be anticipating every move Collins made.    Converted turnovers to points at a ridiculous rate in the first half.     Balanced scoring and USF didn't find it's footing until it was too late.     Statheads, when is the last time MU won a conference road game by >20?    Great win, on to the next.

Great win.  Nice not to be sweating at the end for once.   And, good for some of the guys at the end of the bench to get some minutes in Big East play--loved that little floater by Ferguson at the end!

Also, great to have a W like that on the road--great statement, especially on a night when Providence knocks off Cinci and St. John's holds serve against UConn.  Now, make sure not to get caught looking ahead to G'town and take care of business against DePaul.

Felt a little bad for Flood in garbage time.   He got run through a pick by the man-mountain.

That is the way a top 25 team takes out an inferior opponent on the road.  Turn them over, score inside, outside, hit open 3s, make'm believe they can't win from the beginning.  Really great to see Mayo get it going.

You can thank Wade, diener, and novak for not realizing that.

I was actually a student during those years.  Looking back, i didn't realize how sad our conference was.  UAB?  ECU? Southern Mississippi?  Houston?  Tulane?  TCU? Army? Wow, i'm glad we got out of there.

It was amazing to me how many people on the Juno and Rivals Board at the time defended all things CUSA, Huggs Memphis and Mike Slive (79 Warrior for one.). The Big East was fun but the New BigE will be more fun ;)

UAB was a quality program for several years. Believe they knocked off a good UK team in the tourney one season.

UAB upset MU in the CUSA tournament in the Final Four year.  Good program at the time lead by Mike Anderson who is now at Arkansas.

Exactly the opposite.  We're leaving what is becoming that conference.

Oh. So, Tulane doesn't join later this year? What schools do? What schools don't?

I've never kept up to date on the conference circle jerk as there seems to be no point.

I asked Larry Williams to list his target teams last night on way into game and he demurred.  Understandable.  He did it with a smile.

It is funny because it is true. Chicos hates MU basketball. Other than constantly overinflating his place in life he rips Buzz. Guys a blow hard. Lenny adds a lot of insight here. And he's not a bully like you. Go crawl back into your mommy's basement.
