Just disgusting. We had Louisville looking scared and clueless and proceeded to make ourselves look the same. Good God, this is embarrassing.

Davante's 2nd foul completely changed this game. Should have only been his first as the one he got called for on Siva was a total freaking act job.

Buzz better not be afraid to play the young guys/newcomers next year if they deserve it.

And Taylor gets an assist on an inbound play.  Thats 4 points for UL on our inbounds plays.

Again that one was on Mayo this time.

LAZER

It would be nice if Cadougan decided to help out

Sunbelt15

Loserville extending their defense seems to have us out-of-wack.

Idk, Taylor did throw kind of a weak pass.

37-15 outscore, pretenders. Its like we start okay and then forget the game plan. No rebounds, turnover city.
Nothing from our center or stong forward positions. Dunks and layups for them.

That is an overstatement. Ville started slow but it wasn't due to MU running circles around them.

This is a typical MU-Ville game over the last six or seven years. No one should be surprised.

We can't box out and can't get the ball inside.

having said that, Louisville is raping our ball handlers and we can't get a call

Said previously to mark it down at 10 minute mark.  MU up 16-12, chance to go up six and DG called for offensive foul.  Since that, the score is UL 26-8.  Eight points in last ten minutes of half.

Junior - scoreless
Anderson - scoreless
Mayo - scoreless
Wilson - one layup off a miss rebound.
Taylor - scoreless
DG - two points

Outrebounded 23 to 12.

10 fro 31 from field
1 for 7 from three.

Very ugly

AirPunches

Not over. Still a chance to get back in this one. Seems MU plays better in the second half. WVU, Cincy, Cuse are a few games that come to mind where MU came back and won or almost won after being down 14-15 at the half.

Warriors10

That half is just another half of basketball that Jamil has no idea wtf is going on.

Louisville - No. 25 Marquette jumped out to a 9-1 lead in this one.

No, it should have been his zeroeth. Siva and Harrell both flopped. Neither of those were even close to being fouls. Definitely not in the Big East.

Seriously! What the hell happened to him? Last season, I thought he was going to be our breakout player this year. He looks like Vander 2 years ago.

Blackhat

I'm going to have to take a shower after that first half.

Got rid of the Buzz sig to release the jinx from us...you can thank me after the game.

The trend for all MU-Ville games is we do really well for stretches.  Then for whatever reason there are stretches where the refs will not call any reach, bump or push.  Louisville eats up those minutes, we freak out and turn it over.  We saw that stretch in the first half. Basically a 20 pt run for them.

Hopefully we handle it better in the 2nd half.

Definitely not fouls considering the crap that Louisville is getting away with.  I hate playing @ louisville.

I'll buy you a top shelf hooker if that was the cause.

AirPunches

Russ smith gets away with way too much contact. If Derrick Wilson was doing that he'd be out before the 12 minute tv timeout. When you get a reputation for being a scrappy, quick defender you get away with a lot. Just like craft from Ohio state.

Don't disagree at all, but if he HAS to have one, the second one was a better(bad) call than the 1st one vs. Siva.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, doesn't matter the refs called it and it was the turning point.

Hope some adjustments are made and at least get this thing closer in second half.

UL is very quick, to include their bigmen and can see why they were a pre-season #1.  Probably under achieving to this point.
