Yow.  10.5 points seems pretty huge for these two teams.

Will it really be a @Florida type spanking?  I'm going with no.  MU keeps it close, beats that huge spread.

77ncaachamps

Depends how big of a lead they open up with or how hot of a hand they have.

Eventually it may get that close. But it could easily be a 12+ pt loss.

Take the points. Marquette will cover

Death on call

MUBurrow

Agree with the above - I would have thought it'd be about 7-7.5. Conspiracy theory - maybe with all the once in a blue moon gamblers and the crazy high amount of money flowing to the books today, they're covering themselves by knocking the spreads for obvious favorites up a couple points?

Goose

I am a homer but would not take the points. While I think it will be tight game but not confident enough to roll the dice.

ChicosBailBonds

ESPN has their entire Super Bowl setup on the banks of the Mississippi River down here with several huge outdoor video boards. Large crowds down there. A bunch of us heading down today to cheer on MU and watch from that location before the Harbowl.

Dunno.

Last time MU walked into Louisville they executed one of the greatest collapses in the history of the program. Plus, it's the best team MU has played on the road since Florida. Could lead to that number being passed.

Vegas likes us better than the computers. Pomeroy has us losing by 12 and GAMER has us losing by 13. Only Sagarin likes us more than Vegas, his predictor has us a 9-point dog.

nyg

Could be wrong, but I think it comes down to MU's guards breaking the UL constant press.  If Junior gets in foul trouble and it is up to D. Wilson, I believe trouble brews.

Da 'Lanche

I'm in Vegas for the superbowl....I'm going with a wishful two-team parlay to start superbowl sunday....Marquette +10.5 and Illinois a home dog to Becky +2 in a revenge game.

Now....to the golf course with a bloody Mary.

Knight Commission

They got us by 13 there last year there, thanks in large part to Junior's 8 TO (4-14) performance. Siva owns Junior. I think this could be a blow out unfortunately.

mubb34

Yea I was thinking it was going to be 6.5-7.5....10 points to a good conference opponent could be a touch too much..

MUDPT

It should be 8.5.  Great match-up, have to create and limit turnovers.

GoldenZebra

The line for the Pitt game seemed very similar, we have a good chance to win. We just have to play damn good to do it.

Stretchdeltsig

Will be watching Marquette beat Louisville today on ESPN from New Orleans.  There's a lot going on in New Orleans for the Super Bowl with music stages set up along the Mississippi River and the tv networks having set stages up in Jackson Square.  Purple clad Raven fans and red shirted 49er fans are milling around like bees on honey.  This city has to be the greatest place for a big sports event.  It's one huge party!!!  Go Marquette!!!

Silkk the Shaka

This is the game I want more than any other the rest of the regular season.
