Click on article about Tommy Amaker recruiting and you get an article on Marquettte also. End of article says that MU adds Hazel and Mbakwe to front line. Since the article is based on an interview with Tom Crean, I think you can take this as the answer to the question about who is on the team.

but that begs the question: why is he not on the roster, then?

Edit: forget that, none of the new guys are on it yet

Schoolyard

I'm not a big insider but I've talked to some people who are sort of close...everything points to TM in and DS out.

I hear it all comes down to grades and TM made the grade whereas DS did (will) not.
My handle is Schoolyard but I do my best work at Finley Dunnes...Joe Kenny in '08

MUfan12

TM is waiting on NCAA approval, but unlike Lazar last year he's not registered yet. DS won't be here from what I gather.

Daniel

Thanks everyone - I guess if Saunders is not on the team that takes care of the too many scolarships awarded problem.  We should be ok with Hazel and Mbakwe on the team - what happened to Scott Christopherson?  He's coming too right?  He's a 3 Star SG from LaCrosse

Schoolyard

My understanding is that Hazel & SC are on campus and all set.

I can confirm Hazel.  I saw him with people (whom I'm guessing were his mom and little brother) getting ready to move him into campus while I was at the Al picking my seats.

And from Rosiak's blog .. Trend is on solid ground.

So .. Mbakwe and Saunders .. two men enter, one man leave.

Trend is on solid ground?  I assume Trend would have been cut if D Suanders came.  Is Trevor M on sollid ground for sure?

Trend is on solid ground?

Spent some time talking to current students on Sunday (rare for me here in Cleveland).  One mentioned to me that he also heard that Trend was on solid ground and would be with the team this year (and also confirmed that SC and PH were on campus this summer).  People can debate whether Trend was a recruiting error, but I would like to see Marquette honor the scholarship -- I think it's the right thing to do.  But, it does make you wonder how they're going to handle the scholarship situation.

Easy, I don't think Saunders will make it to Milwaukee.

I think you're probably correct.

Good news about SC and PH.

Any updates/rumors on Mbakwe?  Haven't seen any official announcements on Saunders either, but as it has been said above, it appears as tho he is history.

Thanks

Harrison

dont expect to ever hear anything on Saunders...he will just fade away as if nothing ever happened.

As opposed to the media party that other schools put on when a recruit or current player is academically ineligible?
