Son of former Marquette great Terrel Schlundt. Is Buzz in on him?

Buzz knows of him and MU has had some contact with him as has Wisconsin.  Neither has offered, nor is it certain that either will.  Green Bay and UWM are reported to have offered.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

He's had some unofficials, I believe. Pretty sure he was at Madness. Though it doesn't seem like he's a priority so far. Very good HS player and probably a D1 player, but not sure he's a Big East player.

Not sure we're going to be a Big East team either.  ;D

We will be, though the Big East won't be the Big East ;)

Even still, we will need players that can compete at this level because we'll still be playing GT, XU, Butler, Creighton, and Nova in conference and even tougher non-con games than we are now.

Terrel Schlundt was "great"??? Seems quite a bit excessive.

Hal, my memory is a bit foggy but believe TS had play out of position quite a bit due to injury to Dean Marquardt (car accident).

That's right. And Schlundt played with a broken beak for much of 2 years. Fearless. And devastating from deep. Still great friends with Doc. Works today as a bill collector. I'll bet he's got some great stories from that gig.

Why do you think we will play a tougher non-conference schedule?

We will continue to play Wisconsin and at least on of the two other UW schools. Maybe the C7 enters into an agreement to do a challenge with another conference like the Big East did now and other conferences. We continue rotating through the early season tournaments and the rest is the usual cupcakes.

Disagree completely. I fully expect both UW-M and UW-GB to disappear off the schedule, unless they want to come as buy games. The game in Green Bay was likely the last road game we'll play against either school in the foreseeable future. But rather than restate what I've already said, you can just read this:

I am VP Sales for a $20B beef outfit. I still tell folks I am a cowboy. With pride.

I doubt if HE refers to HIMSELF as a bill collector as some may refer to you as a beef jerky salesman.

Thats the difference.

The most remembered Terrell Schlundt moment was when he threw a picture-perfect alley-oop to Doc against Louisville during the 82-83 season.

I would classify him more as "solid" rather than "great."
"Every day ends with a Tums festival!"

He does say he is a bill collector cause I know him. He started as a bag man, pounding the pavement. He called on medical offices to provide recovery services. He still goes on sales calls with his guys. And he is not ashamed of what he does. Why are you?

Good call on Doc's alley-oop. One of best dunks in school history. Also correct on TS being solid, not great. He was nice player and glad he was a Warrior.

$20B beef outfit?  Didn't know GaGa's duds went for that kinda coin.

Thank you!  I'll be here all week!  <dodges tomato>

No, Cowboy.

A group of us from MU worked at an air freight company at Mitchell. Man did we hate that place. Terrell kept it real. Man was he funny. There was a German bar across the street called the Hamburg or Port of Hamburg. we drank lots of great German brew there. Terrell scoped that place out. He was a really righteous dude.

Wow--times have change.  VP of sales of a $20B outfit now use words like:

righteous and dudes and slick and ganja, and talk of strippers and weed and spend all day on college message boards. What a country.
