I don't mean to quarrel with you Brew but isn't Big Blue #1 this week assuming they beat tOSU (big assumption)?  It's kind of funny as I think the BEast has two elite teams.  Heart might very well determine who's third in that next group of 5-6.  Some will be strong (hopefully MU) and some will fold like cheap tents.  Lastly, hats off to Villy.  Our C7 brother is playing some solid ball despite losing at Syracuse.

I'm assuming they lose at Ohio State, which is why I dropped them and bumped the Buckeyes up 4 spots. I think Michigan will lose their next 2 games (@ tOSU, @ Minnesota). I know they're sort of everyone's darling as the last unbeaten, but their most impressive win so far is over a Pitt team that we also just beat.

Honestly, if I were voting, I'd still have Duke on top of my ballot, but I think with the fresh loss they'll drop, despite losing to a top-20 team on the road. If I had a vote...

We were #6 in the final ESPN/USA Today rankings, but the AP doesn't do a post-Tourney poll. The highest we got in that year in the AP was #8.

We probably will be ranked but I'm not sold we should be ranked or are playing like a top 25 team.  We are 3-0 but have squeaked out with a one point win and two overtime wins.  If we blow out Seton Hall it will be a better sign, but if we are in another battle I will start thinking it's only a matter of time until our luck flips.  It tends to work that way.

Illinois has now been exposed.  I think they drop out and that provides additional room for MU to reach the top 25.

Illinois will be interesting. They've lost 4 of 6 but have three very good wins over Butler, Gonzaga, and Ohio State. Of their losses, only Purdue is that bad of a team. I left them off my list because I do think they've been exposed and their last two losses were by heavy margins, but there will probably some voters that had them in the top-10 that simply feel Minnesota is a better team (they're very good) and winning at Wisconsin is a Herculean task.

I'd have to think if Oregon beats ASU tonight, they'll sneak into the top 25 right behind us. I think MU will be in there, but Oregon probably should be as well.
