Coobey and his Venezuelan team fell to China in the Stankovic cup, 64-62.

They face these opponents in order:

US (July 31)
Slovenia (August 1)
New Zealand (August 2)
Spain (August 8)

They prepped for the FIBA Americas Championship by playing Australia three times: they won the last game after losing the first two.
