Reading this board is making my head hurt. Holy Cross? What if Xavier says no?

Look, if you're paranoid or worried, just stop. This new conference is going to be just fine for Marquette. Things will get done the right way, with a balance of keeping the league small enough for everyone to come out in the black. I'll be surprised if there are more than 10 teams, shocked if there are more than 12. The C7 sticking together is/was the best plan.

Rather than being on the outside looking in, schools are going to be borderline begging to join the league. Xavier won't be able to say "YES!" fast enough (if they haven't already). If Gonzaga can get included, they will sprint to get in. Same with Butler (if the plan is to go to 10 teams, which I'm just going to assume it is).

No reason to add the Sisters of the Poor just because they're a private basketball school in the Midwest. Keep it tight, with the right teams, build a brand/conference, and stop all this nonsense of worrying or trying to add useless schools.

I think you're missing the fact that:

1. The Xavier post was made by a troll.

2. The Holy Cross post was made by a troll or a guy who really doesn't get it.

2. The Holy Cross post was made by a troll or a guy who really doesn't get it.

Neither a troll not someone who doesn't get it. Just seems if people are going to throw out some of these other schools, then Holy Cross makes as much sense. I'm fully aware they would be way down a list, just thought it was interesting no one mentioned it.
