I say we go 8 - 2, losing to Georgetown and Cincy

Of course MU Avenue thinks we'll be 6 - 4 as we have 4 national televised games (5 if the Green Bay, which is now listed as TBA, gets picked up by ESPN)

Tugg Speedman

The early return show we will be 7 - 3 over the next 10 games.

That would put of at 13 - 5 overall.  I assume the three losses will be Uconn, Georgetown and Cincy.  which would put us 3 - 3 in the BE.

So. if the morning of Sunday January 27 we are 13 - 5 (3 - 3), are we "happy"?  Are we still in the hunt for the NCAA?  Or is this disappointing?

Thoughts?

6-4... losses to GU, UC, Pitt, and an upset at UWGB. Maybe I'm scarred from that Southern Miss debacle up there, but I just have a bad feeling about that game.

Oh cripes. This board will melt down if that happens.

Going with 7-3.  Iffy on UConn with Buzz out, but I would chalk that up to a win then a loss against Georgetown.  Either way, I see very little chance of winning at Pitt and I have to think and hope we don't start 0-2 at home and then 0-3 overall...if that happens the board will be full of amazing "insight".  I give us no chance of winning at Cincy and just hope we don't embarrass ourselves too badly on national television.  Anything better than 7-3 and I'm a happy camper, anything worse than 6-4 and I've got my breath held.

Wouldn't the away game at Pitt be a more likely loss than home against Georgetown?

Maybe, but last year Pitt was beyond terrible (22-17, 5-13) and this year they have not beaten anyone of significance.  Call me unconvinced that they are any good.  To be settled with they play Cincy on Dec 31.

I said 8-2 expecting losses at Pitt and Cincy. But this is a tough stretch. UWGB, Savannah State, undefeated LSU, UConn, and Georgetown are all dangerous games.

This. I'll be worried about most games we play this year. Need to get that LSU win.

I feel the same way. Even the cupcakes on our early schedule gave us trouble. I echo the comments of an earlier poster who was worried about Green Bay. Don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about that one.

I was being optimistic and voted 6-4 and that is going 4-0 non-conference.

WayOfTheWarrior

6-4 is probably a good conservative estimate, but I went 7-3 because I feel as though our boys could delightfully surprise us at least once. Honestly I have a tough time predicting how we will do since we have played like a ranked team at times and like garbage at other times. We could end up 5-5 or 9-1, I just don't know.

I saw the game between LSU and Seton Hall and I think they may give a little bit of trouble but we are at home and seeking retribution for last year (hopefully not in the same way that we 'sought retribution' against Florida).

DSEEagle

I think it is more likely we beat Pitt than Georgetown. We do not match up against Georgetown very well. They are long and athletic and play ridiculous defense. They have played a lot of zone this year that has been very effective, and we all now how well we play against the zone.

Tugg Speedman

Only two votes for 0 - 10.  I take this to mean we have only two badger trolls left after last week's beat down!

This is more of my thinking. I am more worried of at Pitt then home vs Gtown. Of course the Hoyas look solid and have good length but they are a poor shooting team and we could grind them out at home.

Six games in and we are 5-1, with the loss to UWGB.  I'm going bet the no one had this happening.

after I voted I told my son I voted that we would B 9 and 1 losing to Green Bay.  Here's hoping

3-1 in next four would be solid.  5-1 at the 1/3 point in the BEast.  All good.

MUfan12

Thought it'd be interesting to bump this, since the 10 games end on Saturday.

Looks like most of you had this team figured out early.

+1

7 - 2 going into the last game.  The most popular choices were 7 - 3 followed by 8 - 2.  These are the only two outcomes possible.
