Does Pierce get paid by the word? His articles are typically so overly verbose they're practically unreadable.

Perhaps it is time for some here to make peace with the past.   To hold onto this grudge 5 years later accomplishes nothing.

I don't know what to tell you.  That is just his writing style.

and for the record, this has nothing to do with a grudge... It was a good article.

When reading something from Pierce, it is important to remember you are reading more of an essay than an article.  He's very good.
