Cherry — who is 36 and hails from Ballston Spa, N.Y. — and his wife Cortney have one son, Brody (1).

He replaces Jeff Strohm, who will be leaving WKU to pursue other career goals. "Jeff will be moving on to pursue his career goals of being a head coach or working at a higher level of basketball, possibly the NBA," said Horn.
