We played many stretches of stupid-s*** basketball early last year. We will play many stretches of stupid-s*** basketball early this year.

Ugly.

Lockett has barely played because of the early fouls.  Jamil couldn't hit the ocean from the Yorktown.  After all the early fouls SLU only ended up with 11 for the half.  They're rebounding fine, but seem to have focused on positioning rather than pressure-no way we should have only forced 6 turnovers.

As a positive, Otule has been solid.  Would never have made such a meaningful offensive contribution earlier in his career, and has pulled down some rebounds tonight.

No sugar coating on my part.  MU really stinks tonight.  This is brutal, shooting 30%

J.Wilson 0 for 6 and scoreless
Lockett scoreless
Blue 1 for 5
Junior 1 for 4

MU saved by the bench and Otule.  Missed layups, how many?????

Open threes again on defense.

Thank goodness not a quality team or they would be getting nuked.  This team lost to Bucky by 40.......

Anyone watching calipari on tv with this 10 min infomercial for UK?  Sickening.

More worried about the defense. Can't cover anybody on the perimeter. Taylor hit a nice three but was exposed at other end. Awful half.

Yes - Taylor's O is clearly ahead of his D.

He does exhibit a good attitude though.  Very confident putting up shots.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

It is clear that the team is still trying to think through their defensive rotations.

Or Norfolk State in the Paradise Jam.

Luckily we can bank on SELA to beat Mizzou in the tourney.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Exactly, Buzz is letting the guys figure it out themselves, without spoonfeeding them much. It will be fine, we will win and the team will be better off without Buzz having held their hand through a rocky game like this.

Markusquette

We're really gonna miss Mayo.  I think he might be the only true scoring threat.  Hope a couple guys emerge more throughout the year or else we'll really have to play smart and as a team.

Glad we're playing possum.  The Maui Invitational field won't know what hit 'em.

Not sure why you would do much else in the half court besides feed it into Gardner or Otule.  Transition game opens it up a little more, but we don't yet have the elite pressure defense of last year to make that happen.

After a lackluster first half, Gardner has certainly picked it up in the second half.

This run with Gardner on the bench.  He's the only confident scorer, must be in the game.

This will be a long year. MU's backcourt is the worst in the Big East. Crossing my fingers that all 5 guys sign tomorrow.
