That article is correct----the public isn't anywhere near as upset about the Iraq war as they were about Vietnam war. I mean back in the early 1970s there was a huge demonstration after huge demonstration, every weekend somewhere in the country-----you see nothing of that sort today.

I can only conclude that the public has a cursory nervousness about Iraq----but nothing anywhere near as upset as the pollsters and Dems in congress make them out to be. The Dems just want Bush to fail----the hell with the long term effects on the country!

No draft to galvanize the young, no sense that even a 10 million person march would change the policy.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Well, that may be part of it but during Vietnam there was no chance Vietnam was going to attack the homeland.  Today's citizens have seen 9/11, have seen the 1993 WTC attack, have seen the embassy bombings, they know these people won't hesitate to strap a bomb to themselves and walk on a bus or subway, or behead a journalist or woman peacekeeper.  People understand that it's a helluva lot different then the 1960's despite how much certain people want to make the parallels.  The enemy is not the same.
