Nice little article.  An excerpt:

A buddy of mine sent me a text last night, saying he was watching the game at a bar and whenever Novak put up a shot, the entire place would go berserk.

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

I'm proud to say that there was never a doubt in my mind that there was a place in the league for Novak.

Which is crazy to say as nearly seven foot tall dudes with sniper range are very rare.

I travel quite a bit and there was nothing funnier than watching Marquette games when Novak played.  I would be at some bar in Tampa/Houston/San Diego/fill in city here/ and when he would catch an open pass I would say "Yeah!" well before he even shot.

The confused looks I received from casual fans were classic.  More often than not he would shoot and make it; on some occasions he would not shoot or miss it.  Either way I think people thought I didn't understand the game of basketball.   :D

They probably assumed that you just cheered every time a white guy got the ball.

hahahahahaha

Also this from the article: "The more 3s he made, the more attention he started to get. Once he got the attention, everyone else joined the bandwagon I seemingly built from scratch."

Definitely made me laugh. Welcome to 2002-2003, bro.
