I trust that was a tongue in cheek comment although I have yet to see a retraction.  As a proud parent of a very successful and self motivated MU junior nursing student, I find your comment deeply troubling and very offensive.  I'd rather compete at the DIII level than send my kid to a school like that.

I don't know about you but I never buy a car at the 1st dealership I visit. I don't even buy a car with the 1st contract I sign - I take it to the next dealer to get a better deal, not saying recruits do THAT but I'd shop the field and then think it over.

Most players commit after a visit.  Just like most people by a car at their visit to the dealership, and most people who buy a time share do it at that the time share presentation.  It is a hard sell, and hard sells are meant to work on emotion and the fact that you feel an obligation to buy (Free Test drive, the Free Vacation in a timeshare, all the free crap you get on an official).  Once you leave the environment it is 100 times easier to say no, and way harder to say yes cause you dont feel that pressure.
