Ok, I'll put you down as thinking that Florida State and Clemson are going to leave the ACC for the Big 12.

What do I win when you're wrong?

Is that what I said? Pretty sure it was just "never say never" when it comes to realignment. If I could just figure out what ESPN wanted, I would go with that.

Now this I agree with.  It's about TV contract (ESPN) and people need to stop with the academic and geographical arguments.  They really don't matter.  They are excuses not the reason for the moves among conferences.

Added later
- To repeat what I said before, if ESPN thought a state prison Football team would increase revenues, then the conference would add it.

Third, name me one school that has moved conferences and PAID IN FULL THEIR CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS of the exit fees. The answer is NONE!

Actually, I am not sure that is true at all.  Most of the the time they have actually paid more to decrease the waiting time.

No it is not an even swap, but teams like DePaul should be improving.

Teams like DePaul "should be improving" because they can't get any worse. If the Big East's emergence from this realignment mess is a dependent on a slightly better DePaul, then the future is bleak, and I think you know that. SMU is not Syracuse, and UCF is not Pitt or Notre Dame.

You may be correct in regards to the Big East's pitiful $5 million penalty and the 27-month waiting period. But Mizzou, A&M, Nebraska? Not even close.

In a crazy world, one which the ACC invites Marquette to the conference, we go, right?

I never said I live in a fantasyland, I was just asking "what if"....and why wouldn't MU go to soon-to-be best basketball conference if given the chance???
