This week I started the process of deleting last year's games from my VCR, so I would have room to record this year's games. I recently watched the first Louisville game and St. John's games. In both games Mayo was a factor. Mayo struggled towards the end of the season and I think that is what most people are remembering about him. Earlier in the season he was very effective. I think Mayo would have averaged 15 ppg if MU did not have DJO.  The other things that stood out was how well Gardner was progressing in those games and how ineffective J. Wilson was. Wilson's game really developed after Gardner went down. I think Mayo, Wilson and Gardner will be really good this year. Besides that, I do not think Lockett plays the 2. Being bigger and stronger than Blue and Mayo he will play the three.

"We looked last year at how Blue is successful in almost every aspect of the game, and he was one of three players to average 8.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in Big East play."

Strotty, who were the other two?

Strotty, who were the other two?

Henry Sims: 10.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists
Lamar Patterson: 8.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists
Vander Blue: 8.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists

So while Blue was on the low-end of the threshold, he was still just one of three to do it.
