I'm very pleased with our coaches as of late, thank you very much. I just am skeptical about suburban talent.

My old codger memory goes back to a guy named Steve Turner, who played for Vanderbilt in the 1970s. He was 7'5" and a vertical leap of 0.1". I remember Craig Butrym, probably a great guy but at 6'11" and from suburban Milwaukee, was no Jerome Whitehead.

I'm sure this Benet guy is a much stronger player and if he comes to Marquette, I'm trusting that Buzz has found a great kid. But playing against the likes of Naperville North, Downers Grove South, Lisle and Glenbard isn't quite the same as playing King, Simeon and the like on a day-in, day-out basis.

I'm in general agreement, but there are exceptions and they can prove themselves worthy on the AAU circuit. Jack Cooley (ND) played at Glenbrook South and was rated lower than O'Mara.

Rag on this guy as much as he deserves. But hes at my High school so it would be neat for him to follow my footsteps to MU.

Go redwings go! get you going all you loyal Benet red wings! Our team will shine! on the court or on the field were all together! We will pledge our loyalty on the road to victory for B-E-N-E-T!

He goes to the same HS that Wisconsin got Frank Kaminsky from.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
