Yeah, its been a long drought since that game in Atlanta in 1977...!  Though, MU did have a great chance in 1986 when Walter Downing had the best game in terms of blocked shot in MU history ( talking about blocks against quality opponents in a meaningful game, not 13 blocks vs. NE Illinois...) with 8 blocks. A truly masterful performance...! MU just came up short after leading virtually all of the game.  Along with another close loss to Dayton that week, it was the beginning of the end for Rick Majerus as things really unraveled after that.

HH32, you are correct, these buy games are awful.    Good.   With the rest of our OOC schedule, we need every cupcake we can get.    Or we may never see Ferguson....or the Jake.....or Juan......

4-26 and 336 in the RPI last year.  I've got to agree.  Maybe the best thing about our OOC scheduling last year was avoiding these likely 300+ RPI teams that drag down your RPI.  It seemed there was clever thinking in getting the buy game certain wins that weren't the worst of the worst RPI killers.  So far it looks like we managed the home runs at the top but didn't complete that A+ OOS schedule with the smarter cupcakes.
