Clearly all those speculating about some bad press this summer were wrong...nothing to see here.

MarkMiller

Mayo is still with the Marquette program. He is simply going home for the second session of summer school.

LOL....thanks Mark.  So did he do well enough in the first half to retain eligibility for next year?

Hards Alumni

so we should probably wrap this thread up.

maybe push it off a cliff.

and take everything the OP says with a huge grain of salt from now on.

move along, nothing to see here.

He's going home for summer school? What does that mean? Some kind of correspondence or online courses? Or that he's going home for a bit before the second session starts?

Maybe it's not solely a result of academics.

Tin foil hat speculation. Source?

TallTitan34

My source tells me not to believe anything on scoop until it is offically reported.

My source: common sense.

Ugh...we made it 30 or so posts without this stupidity, and even Chicoloop stopped with this idiocy. Need we really resurrect it?

Pretty sums up my reaction to every speculative post on this board.

Warriorchick Jr. has also just completed her summer session. She has decided not to take any courses during the second session such that she will able to travel with the family on our July vacation. She IS enrolled this fall. Hope that provides scoopers with peace of mind for the upcoming holiday.

This was awesome to read through.

It was a joke Brew. Pakuni likes to point that finger.

"Mayo is still with the Marquette program. He is simply going home for the second session of summer school."

He also just posted that 10 posts ago.

Just remember, Marquette cannot *say* it is academics because they are not allowed to comment on a student's academic record.  So despite what anyone says officially, it is likely not more than that.

Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

BTW, anyone know what Mark Miller has to say about all this?

So much of that flying around, it's hard to know who's tossing crap on the wall and who's tossing jokes.

There was one misstatement.  The rest was pretty reasoned discussion and observation based on the misstatement.

I took Mark's message to mean he was just going back home during the second session time frame.  Not that he was literally taking classes during the second session.
