What a start to the draft.  Kentucky players go one and two.  Talk about adding on to what that does for Kentucky recruiting.  Like they need it.

Bocephys

I'm surprised Charlotte didn't move the pick after all that speculation.

Cal is an incredible slimeball.  "Hug mom, hug dad, then you hug me and spin around so the camera can see my face."  Wow.  At least be a LITTLE discreet about it.

Silkk the Shaka

Steve Taylor is the next Thomas Robinson, right?

...right!?

Yeah that was pretty ridiculous.

For good reason. Him above Thomas Robinson and Harrison Barnes? That's horrible.

Love how 2 of Drummond's highlights were over Truck Bryant.

chapman

Portland drafts Lillard for the point and Meyers Leonard at center.  Biggest needs for them, and should help Wes.

And they wonder why the King left...
Relax. Respect the Process.

Henson it is. Now he needs to bulk up. And fast.

I thought they might go Zeller there.

i thought they might go royce white. Henson seems a bit repetitive with midsize-tall 4s who are known more for their defense than offense.

Blackhat

Has about the same wingspan as Anthony Davis.  Kid can be really good if he has the right attitude and plays hard all the time.

Great defensive player.   Like the pick.

TallTitan34

Zeller about to be traded to the Cavs.

TallTitan34

Mavs will get 24, 33 and 34th picks from Cavs.

QuetteHoops

Henson is a terrible pick...he might be ok, but he'll never see the court with 5 guys in front of him. Typical Bucks pick.

With that backcourt, there won't be shots (cue lil Jon and LMFAO!) To be had in the frontcourt...
Relax. Respect the Process.

Jeeez, Celtics take Sullinger who has a bad back, then Fab Melo who is a head case.  Two risk/rewards right in a row.

Ok, I have a really dumb and simplistic question about the draft.

There have been a number of Big East players drafted so far.  None of the picks (as of 8:50pm) include the BE POY.  You would think that the POY of a top league would be picked before most of the other players from their respective leagues.

I know that my premise is not perfect, but.......?

I recognize that some teams pick based on position need, which accounts for some of this.

How many times have you heard the word UPSIDE this broadcast?  There's your answer.  Don't worry, Jae will prove them all wrong.  Just another chip on his shoulder to motivate him.

The draft is about potential and position.  The BE players chosen were underclassman with more potential than a senior, or 7 feet tall (Drummond and Melo) which the BE POY is not.

Not a Henson fan as a lottery pick. He's a nice player but I don't see him being any more than a solid contributor as the best-case and Branden Wright as worst-case. The Bucks need more than that. Right now, they seem to be collecting players who could potentially be the third or fourth best player on a championship team but no one who you can really build around.

Blackhat

Not sure a centerpiece player for a championship team is  often available at 14.

Henson was the best player available imo and gives the Bucks flexibility for a trade.

Henson's a good version of Larry Sanders.   Sanders and Udoh or Gooden could get you a solid wing or guard.
