Actually, campus police departments have come from as far as Japan to study Marquette's model.

Ask a couple of students. There is far more respect for MPS than there was in my time at MU (early '80's)

In my time, Public Safety was a bunch of night watchmen whose job was to lock up after the last class. We were ever thankful none of these dudes had guns. God forbid they would use them.

Milwaukee cops were even worse and they USED them!
