2014 6'7" Malek Harris will take a visit to Marquette this week or the next. He plays for the Illinois Wolves AAU team.

Dawson Rental

He visited Louisville earlier this summer the same weekend when Montrezl Harrell committed.  He also claims to have interest from Indiana.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Pakuni

Twitter says Malek Harris is on campus today.

My twins are also touring campus today.  Neither will be playing hoops for MU next year.

Doesn't count until somebody tweets it.

Harris visiting today.  Was at Purdue earlier in the week and will be at Northwestern tomorrow.

If that is MU's competition, and he is a baller, MU should win out.  If he wants to be an engineer, Purdue, or a great student, then Northwestern is the place for academics.  I would
assume he wants to play in the NBA, then MU.  Has anybody seen him play?

augoman

Actually, I'd say the McCormick school of Eng at NW is far superior to Purdue-would have to be other reasons for being a boiler.

MuMark

He is now up to 76 in the new Scout rankings. High motor kid who rebounds and defends. Improving as a shooter. 3/4 type who is tough.....MU has made him a top priority for the 2014 class.

Some Chicago players do go there and it is the Big Ten, is that better.

Since you know that, who is the top priority at center, Harris will be a nice back-up with Taylor, Burton, McKay, so there is playing time available.

I would hope for an early commit.  My fear is that if he decides to go ahead with official visits, that bigger boys might get involved.

MuMark

Not sure who the top priorities are at center...we know all the names but but some have blown up(Turner, Goodluck).....I'm sure we will sign one big this year....just have no idea who at this point.

MuMark

I doubt "the bigger boys" get involved.....its getting pretty late....kids start to narrow the lists now if they plan on signing in November....

We could lose him but it's not going to be to Kentucky, Duke or NC.....

Yeah, those schools typically don't reach down into the bottom of the top 100.

It seems that Buzz is stuck on 6'7" guys.

Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh Buzz won't stop recruiting versatile talented top 100 players!!!!!

Get yer head outta yer ass, this is the best recruiting we've seen since Al.  Buzz is stacking classes back to back to back.  Do you honestly believe we won't get at the very least a grad transfer C or JUCO PF/C (or both) this year to hold us over til Stone/Ellenson, where minutes at the 5 will be there for the taking from day 1?  Buzz has a plan.  It's unfolding accordingly.  Sit back and enjoy.

I'm thinking that you were thinking, "teal".
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Stretchdeltsig

Hopefully, you guys are not MU alums.  You act like idiots.
