Anybody remember this guy, a 6'6" 225 lb power forward from Chicago?  He was the class of 2010 and MU was after him prior to going after a bunch of other guys in the spring and eventually getting DG.  It seemed like the gig was up when Duke started showing interest in him just before the spring signing period.

Well he eventually signed with UTEP, but went the graduate school route instead.  Last year he signed with Indian Hills CC and spent the year playing with Jameel McKay averaging 6.9 points and 4.5 rebounds.  Although he too was a freshman, he's leaving to go to Iona.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Okay here's another one.  Brandon Spearman from Chicago averaged 14.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while leading Simeon HS to the 4A state championship in 2010.   He was the MVP of the state tourney as a senior, leading Simeon in scoring in all seven postseason games.

He had some interest from MU, but went to Dayton.  He transferred to Indian Hills CC after his freshman year at Dayton and played with McKay.  This year, in his one season at Indian Hills, he averaged 11.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals, while finishing second on the team in 3-pointers with 53.  He is going to Hawaii to finish up his college eligibility.
