Former Ohio State AD.  Must know how to get things done, never got caught.

Pretty good pull,  caught him as he was riding off into the sunset.

My first thought when I heard Geiger's name was football. If they're going to try to get a football program going, he'd be one of the first guys you'd think to tab for that role. Knows his way around very well, and should be an asset, as long as they stay out of trouble. This is the kind of hire that can make UW-Milwaukee sports somewhat relevant again.

Interesting that they hired him seemingly without doing any sort of search.

Actually, depending on the mandate they gave Geiger, this could be a very significant hire

A. Interesting? How so?

B. They had a headhunter/search firm looking for a 2-3 month fill-in. How much time should you spend on a search if those are the original parameters of the job?

GGGG

A. Interesting in that the last process was very open, with publicly known finalists.  State universities tend to operate in that manner.

B.  I was unaware of the search firm.  Thank you for that.
