If we get both of these guys for the upcoming year our roster will be better and more balanced than last year. Big up front with solid guards. Go get em buzz!

Lockett would be, in all likelihood, for 2012-2013.  Nolan is likely a Prep this year and reclassifying as a 2013.  I doubt both are this year.

GGGG

But McKay is a 2013.

Lockett will be 2012 if he graduates this year.

MUfan12

No way in hell Nolan is eligible for 2012.

And I would steer way clear of him. Would rather have McKay, who has twice the motor that Nolan does.

GoMarquette32

Nolan said himself he's 2012. Visiting st johns right now.

Da Nile ain't just a river in Egypt.  How many freshmen did St. John's sign last year?  How many actually played for them?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Most because that is all they had.

Sure, if he played like a big.

Please, no Nolan.

Relax. Respect the Process.

I thought Nolan was reclassified.

Apparently everyone knows that except for the guy writing Nolan's tweets.

Maybe a poor choice of words.

McKay plays on the same team at Indian Hills with Juan Anderson's former high school teammate Roderick Bobbitt.

They are discussing when they are both going to be in milwaukee and are going to try and get together.  In general I think we could get Mckay if we wanted him but I'm just not sure how hard we are looking at him.  Maybe with Jones spot open we will look at him harder.   I think he is perfect 4 in our system.  We also need to get a 5 at some point in either 2012 or 2013.  Saw some video of Kevin Larson and he is a little better then I thought.

FREAKING PHILIP NOLAN. GET HIM IN THE WEIGHT ROOM WITH TODD SMITH. DECELOPE HIM. 6 10 player in our own backyard.

He tries to be a shooting guard.  And he's not.  6'10" means nothing if you don't step inside the paint, let alone the 3 point line.

Sick and tired of hearing about Nolan.  Why spend time on a player who isn't going to qualify?  Maybe never year after he spends a year at St. John's...Military Academy.

Sharpie

Nolan has definitely gotten a bad rap recently. However, there were a decent amount of good reports about his motor and the work he was doing inside. Sounds like the kid might just need the right coaches and mentoring? Just a thought.

I'm not saying he's going to be great or even good, just saying he's still a kid that has some growing/maturing among some other work that needs to be done. In the right atmosphere, the kid could develop quite nicely. Isn't that what we do with our bigs? Develop them?
