Burton's handle is strong.  He does need work on his shot, though.  Has time.  Hopefully he's putting the time in.

I want Burton because he wants to be at Marquette.  But why start this thread?  All that this thread will really do is show that a number of people on this board will undervalue Dekker's game because he's going to be a Badger.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

This is irrelevant?  Burton is coming to Marquette and Dekker isn't.  I am quite happy with who Marquette has, is getting, and those the coaching staff would like to get in the future.

Burton by a long shot for me. He is going to be very special at the next level and then again at the next level. I was major Jamil fan in high school and thought he should be our top priority his senior season and even bigger fan of Burton. Must add that Looney might be even a bigger get the next year.

A UW friend of mine says Dekker is Bo's perfect player...and Burton is Buzz's.  I think that is the best way I have heard it described.

I agree.

Anyone who doubts Dekker should watch the last few minutes of his last HS game. I don't care about the competition, it takes a special player to will his team to victory and hit a shot like he did fading away with 3 guys shadowing him with time running out.

Burton may have more potential based on physical skills but I would rather have Dekker. More complete player at this time.

They're both great players and I'm thrilled we have Burton.  I agree Dekker seems great for Bo and Deonte is perfect for Buzz.
