You guys have not fished until you do Gustavus/Glacier. Salmon is a lifestytle here but the Kings in Alaska put all others to shame. Every year for the past 20 a group of 10 of us head up to Gustavus and whack kings and halibut. We all went to flight school together; some are still serving while others are flying for the various airlines (one year a buddy who flies MD 11's called in sick to FedEx Ops from the boat on Glacier. Classic!) Anyhow, we all max out on 30-50 pound kings each day. There is nothing more compelling than getting one to the boat only to have it tear ass taking half your line. Often these beasts will do it 2-3 times. We routinely haul up 120 pound halibut on the way back in. We get a lot of random fish too - ling cod and rockfish. If you are into fishing I strongly recommend a trip to Glacier.

seems like no one is talking about how awesome bass fishing is.
Wacky Worm around piers/docks and off drop offs in the early morning is some of the best fishing I've ever done.

Second has to be salmon and trout fishing in either Racine or Pt. Washington. I love outfishing the guys who use too heavy a line (6-8lb max). use a #8 hook with a little bit of eggs.

Port Washington is a great town. Sent many a weekend sailing from port on the big pond.  Used to date on hot little German gal from Port ;)

Fish Day was a ton of fun...havent been there for a few years.

Never been much of a bass angler, but the pond near my house was stocked with some smalls several years back, and they've been getting in the way of me teaching my 3-y/o how to fish for bluegill with a bobber.  I took him fishing for the first time a couple weekends back, and within seconds of him dropping his first hook in the water, it gets swallowed up by a smallmouth.

Nevertheless, all he wants to do is cast and reel, cast and reel, cast and reel, so I might give up on the bluegills and have him try his luck with a spinner on his Spiderman fishing pole this weekend.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

If you have a pond full of smallies, you are lucky
