Next year with be totally different. It was easy to hide Vander and Cadougan lack of O last year.  But next, not sure you will be able to do that.  Cadougan is a lock next year at the point.
After that the 2 guard and 3 are wide open.  Sure Vander and Mayo have the edge, but TJ Taylor being a JC is older, can score.  Looking at the Ferguson kid, he has offensive skills as well.
Jones and Anderson have to get looks as well.  So you have 6 kids fighting for time.  See what players mesh.

You might see MU go big, with Taylor and Wilson at the forwards and Otule at center.  You throw in Mayo and Vander at the point,  now you are big everywhere.  interesting line-up.
Vander might be the key next year.

There were other reasons why EWill transferred that don't apply to Jamail.

I forgot what they were, part of the posse that did no good?

As long as players progress in the off season, I don't see a reason why any freshmen will play more than spot minutes next season.

As I think about it, we'll need real contribution from kids not yet on campus, especially on offense. Of course a bustout by Mellow would be just what the doctor ordered.

Erik Williams always appeared to be a great teammate. He was first off the bench cheering when a big play happened. He may have transferred, but don't take away the fact that he was a great teammate. In that regard, I think the parallels to Jamail's situation are very clear.

I hope Jamail stays just like I hoped Erik would, but I won't begrudge them if they leave to pursue more realistic opportunities to see the floor. Personally, I think Mellow, like Erik, has shown moments of solid potential. If he can zone in on those, he can get minutes here.

I probably set off a wrong impersonation of E Will. I'm not saying he was ever a bad teammate but it just looks like Jamail wouldn't want to be anywhere else when he's on the bench (besides the floor). However, next year I really can see Jamail fitting in the rotation with a significant role.

Depends on what you mean by posse. Be careful about casting these aspersions because the implication is entitrely inaccurate.

Correct.

Aren't posses usually associated with law enforcement?

It is not "entirely inaccurate."

+ a bazillion - two situations have absolutely NO commonality.

No comparison on EWill and Jones. EWill wrote his own ticket out of town. Jones will be back.

Posse is inaccurate.

OK, yes.  However Goose is correct.  They are entirely different situations.

Agreed.  I already said so.  Gato was disputing the "posse" and he was right on that.
