Coverage of the Game
« on: March 23, 2012, 07:03:14 AM »
Besides the poor results on the court, did anyone else hate the video coverage of this game?  That overhead camera was terrible at best and near-nauseating at worst.  Plus several shots of cherrleaders/bench/coach/replays while live action was occurring.  Forgot to mention it last night.  Just wondered what others thought.

Agree. Production of the game was about as bad as our field goal percentage.

I wish I DVR'ed the game.  I would go back through and see how long commercial break were.  It felt like the ND game, long time outs and never getting into a rhythm.

The swinging camera was still better than the behind-the-action angle they were using the first 2 rounds, I'd guess from atop the hoop at the opposite end. Impossible to see what was going on with that one. But I've grown accustomed to crappy experimental camera stuff in March...they do something dumb like this every year.

Agreed.  I'd mumble to the TV "enough already - go back to the game!"

I couldn't agree more. From the overhead cam (couldn't tell wtf was going on in the game), to the long and way too frequent timeouts, to us not knocking down any shots, it made for a tough watch.
