Anyone going to a bar not named Schoolyard? I am going to be in work reasonably late so I am looking for someplace near the River North/Loop area that people have found to be good to watch games at.  Any suggestions or places everyone is going?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I was here for the Murray St Game and outside of our group there was one guy with an MU hoodie and about 50 Badger fans. Kroll's is a nice place, but its a Badger Bar, not an MU joint.

If you're on the South Side may god have mercy on your soul, but at least you can watch the game at Dinger's at 10638 South Western Avenue. It's an MU bar owned by alums from Beverly.

Last year's game against UNC was on a Friday evening...but Four Shadows was PACKED.  Every table and barstool was taken more than 2 hours before tip.  There was almost nowhere to move in there until the game got out of hand.

It was a great atmosphere even for a depressing game.  The different day might make the crowd a little lighter.  But if you can't get there early, I'd try somewhere else.

Watched the first half of the MU - Murray State game at Blue Bayou and there was a decent MU crowd there wearing gold, kind of cool considering it was St Patrick's Day.  We had to leave though as it was taking forever to get beers and with the huge crowd on hand, they didn't have any air running, it was crazy hot in there.  And it smelled like an awesome combination of vomit and Pine Sol.  Just like watching back in college.  Memories.

I do like Four Shadows a lot, their food is very good and they have a nice selection of beers, waitress was a little slow the time we went though.
"Nice helmet!"
"Actually, it's not a helmet, it's a hairmet.  You see, it's got extra room in it so you don't mess up your hairdo."
"I'm going to write you a prescription for two testicles, you get it filled whenever."

Was at Four Shadows for the Murray State game. Great atmosphere. Raucaus, lots of blue and gold despite St. Paddys Day, lots of We are Marquette chants. They had the windows open and the weather was great. I'd recommend there. Just as good as Schoolyard.

If you're taking public trans from the loop, Four Shadows is a pain in the ass to get to. Sounds like by the time you get anywhere that is officially affiliated w/ MU it will be packed. You might be better served going off the grid and watching it at a bar you frequent.

Yeah, that is what I am starting to think.  Might try to hit O'Leary's Public House or something within a few blocks of my office on Michigan.

Fado & The Karryman (side note, it is an ND football bar) are also over there. I've never been to either for sporting events, but their specials on Thursday are pretty good.

+1 - Shadows was great on Saturday.  Tight fit, but great crowd.

Do you people even read the thread?

Avenue Commons

O'Neill's down by CBOT is technically closest, but if you live north side its a bit out of way.

Maybe stop by and see old friends at Halligan in LP?

Has anyone been to Quigleys in Oak Lawn? I was planning on checking that place out tonight.
