Announcer just quoted Izzo as saying "St. Louis is a very athletic Wisconsin".

Interesting take.

Draw your own conclusions...

Am I the only one that would be more scared to play Louisville than to play Michigan State if we get that far?  For that reason alone I am rooting for the Spartans in this one.  If Rick can get his boys past the Spartans and the Cardinals and we were able to beat Florida or Norfolk State I would absolutely love that.  It's not impossible, SLU isn't a bad team.

Thought about this too, and it's pretty much a toss up to me.  If I had to choose I guess I would also take MSU.

LOL...Izzo seems to be trolling Wisconsin fans.

Not me.

I'd prefer the Louisville match-up. At least you know what you're going to get.

That game in the Garden featured so many one-offs on both sides it was almost like an alternate reality.

I agree.  I want Louisville again.  I am guessing the team likely does, as well.

Kuric always, ALWAYS kills Marquette.  He is a huge difference maker for them, especially against Marquette.  They press and force us to play TOO fast, turning us over a ton.

I am in no way scared of any teams that want to keep the game in the 50s and low 60s, like Michigan State.  Those teams are not going to keep Marquette under 60, and Marquette's defense is definitely good enough to keep those teams in the 50s.  Just like the Murray State game.  The only teams who scare me are teams that can outscore us, which Louisville can, but Michigan State can't.  Louisville, Kentucky, UNC, Florida could, Baylor could, Kansas, Florida State could.  I am not scared of teams like Wisconsin, USF, Purdue, SLU, or MSU.
