Hey guys/gals,

I was just on the UCONN & Cuse board, and had some good discussions with some unbiased fans.

I must say, Marquette does get a lot of praise from other fanatics, a lot of fans were very quick to praise MU, and think of us as a "Top 25" basketball program.  I understand a lot of us feel that we are already, however I wanted to get some perspective from 2 perennial powerhouses.  After reading some of the comments from those 2 fan bases, it makes me even more proud to graduate from such a wonderful school, and perhaps the best compliment I recall is that one person stated .. "I've always loved Marquette fans...you guys are probably the classiest in the Big East.  Best of luck to you guys as well!. 

Numerous fans stated that they have a lot of respect for our program, and definitely see coach Williams as one of the best there is out there.  They do not see Marquette as a "Stepping stone" and think we are one of the up and coming schools that will be a perennial S16 team year in and out.  (Of course we all know programs go through there ups and downs) however, this was refreshing to hear.  I think it's important to know what other fans think of our program as a whole and hope this may have put a good feeling in yourself today.

I know a lot of us tend to put each other down, or sometimes we cannot see eye to eye.  This topic doesn't have stats, or numbers for relevance.  however, I just wanted to thank you fellow Warriors for being one of the best fan groups in the nation, and again, we may not always agree, but we are ALL Warriors or Golden Eagles, we are ALL Marquette, .... we ALL love our team!

Of course they're saying that... no one wants to get beaten by a non-top 25 team this time of year.  If UCONN beats Syracuse today, you better believe the Syracuse fans will be calling UCONN a top 25 team in unison.

The discussion was directed towards Marquette as the overall picture, not just this year.
