Don't know if this has been posted here yet. But saw this on Twitter and thought it was really, really sweet! We need t-shirts now.

Hoopaloop

Hilltopper has been sporting that thing here for about a week

Hey, you're still the first to propose a t-shirt.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Maybe... something like this?

RideMyBuycks

Man that Tee would look great without sleeves. I can see myself putting up mad weight in the rec right now!

mu_hilltopper

If this is anyone but Steve Allen, you're stealing my bit.

real chili 83

How about.....

Marquette University

The New Warriors

Or something to that effect on the T-shirts

Never liked the "where amazing happens" slogan.  Maybe it's the 16 years of Catholic school getting to me, but "amazing" is not a noun.

Why not just "We're Jaemazing"?  That way it could be construed as either an adjective or a verb.
Have some patience, FFS.

Or, "The Predators".   ;D
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

PuertoRicanNightmare

I do like that logo!

That's a great idea!
“I think everyone should go to college and get a degree and then spend six months as a bartender and six months as a cabdriver. Then they would really be educated.”

Actually, a verb in its present participle form (any verb with "ing" on the end) can be used as a noun.  It is then called a gerund.  This is clearer if you substitute "walk";  "Where walking happens".  Kudos to ecompt who correctly predicted a few weeks ago that we I would get around to discussing gerunds.

Unfortunately, I do.  Far worse, I actually spent at least ten minutes thinking it through.  Hell, the game doesn't start until six and how much Mah-Jong can one play?

I can promise you there was no discussion of gerunds when the creative types were discussing "where amazing happens" as an NBA slogan.  I am sure there was a whiteboard in the room with an entire list along the lines of:

Where fantastic happens
Where awesome happens
Where incredible happens
etc....

Not "Where the act of amazing those who attend the game happens".

Props to your understanding of grammar terms, though.  Let me guess...Catholic school?  Nuns?

The purple was bugging me.  I figured out why.  Gold and purple are LSU's colors.

When I made it I put down blue... so I don't know why it appears purple. Maybe you're color blind?

Let's keep it classy - "Marquette University - - - where gerunds happen!"
