Scaring me with OT win against WVU
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Ya, because it was their tenacious d that prevented WVU from making any shots down the stretch.

UConn doesn't scare me one bit. They don't run an offense. It's all isolation plays and selfish drives. Boatright and Napier can't play together. Oriakhi and Drummond can't play together. They beat a mediocre West Virginia team in overtime (our 1 point win came with 3 starters out half the game at their place on a Friday night), and DePaul. I don't think this qualifies as UConn being back.

Calhoun's presence changes that team.

Why would they scare you?

If MU ends up playing UConn, it will mean a Saturday night dance. That's good crap.

DCWarriors04

They beat DePaul and a West Virginia team that never learned how to close games out.

brewcity77

Feel confident their 7-game MSG run will end tomorrow.

chapman

They're beat, probably tomorrow.  If they do upset Cuse, I think Georgetown matches up well with them and plays a more disciplined style and will take care of them - also picking the Hoyas over Cincy tomorrow to get to that point.

TallTitan34

Down 8 to Syracuse but lots of time to go.  7 to go in the first.

TallTitan34

UConn just went on a huge run to tie it up.

kira67

UConn is back indeed, 23-21.

Way, way, way too much Napier and Boatright. Not nearly enough Lamb.

Not only didn't Lamb score for the last 19 minutes of the game, but I don't think he attempted a single shot as Syracuse took control of the game over the last 7-8 minutes. Some was his fault because he just stood outside the arc, waiting for passes that never came. Much was the guards' fault for ignoring by far the team's best player. Calhoun has to accept blame, too.

UConn's offense the last 7-8 mins reminded me of ours all too often under Crean and last year in the closing minutes against Louisville. Lots of standing around and watching one player (usually Napier) playing bouncy-ball.

The last couple days made for a nice little story, but UConn has some issues. Too many selfish players, with Napier at the top of the list.
