Big East Tournament tickets
« on: March 01, 2012, 04:28:43 PM »
I've read a few posts on here about scalping for them outside the Garden. Is there a way to buy them through Marquette? What is the best way to buy tickets for those of you that have gone before? I booked my flight and I'm staying at the team hotel. Can't wait!

I know there is a more recent post buuuut.

Just got the email for BEAST tourney tickets. Myself and my family plan to go. What is everyone’s thoughts?

Per MU: $200 for cheapest tickets for all sessions.
Scoopers say: get the tickets day of, you’ll be fine.

BEAST Tourney stats say: highly attended, near sell out for each game/session.

So I ask you, my brilliant Scoop family:
What is my best move here?

I purchased the cheapest $200 tickets for all games. If you only want to attend MU games, you will save money by purchasing day of.

I think I paid a total of $110 for every game last year. Stubhub for Wednesday and Thursday, scalped Friday and Saturday from a distraught Hall fan Thursday night after they were heartbroken by Butler. All were upper deck sideline tickets except for the night quarterfinals. (Side note: sight lines of top few rows of the end line suck at MSG if you're above 5'.) Easily would have been an extra $100 if I had to go Stubhub for Friday and Saturday. I think it comes down to what games you want to be at and how much you value peace of mind and not having to work for them that week.
