Top 10 teams are dropping like flies. Not saying we will leapfrog Mizzou in the next poll but this has to mean good things in general in terms of our seeding.

What does it take from here on out for us to move up to a 2? A 1?

boyonthedock

to get a 2 probably win the BET, regardless of regular season (with even just beating rutgers). to get the 1, win out and its in play.

dwaderoy2004

If we win out, we're in the mix for a 1.  29-5,  winning 17 of our last 18 and big east champs?   Think about it...

And Binghamton beats Vermont, and Kentucky is down 14-4 early at Mississippi State.

He/She secretly wishes they went to Binghamton?

Warriors10

Meh.

Don't jump the gun and assume we win tomorrow.

What's with you and Binghamton?

Last team in the country without a win beats the best team in its conference, even ESPN.com featured the game in the second half

On the flip side, some teams are really stepping up and playing themselves in.  Seton Hall got the signature win it needed and has a favorable schedule to punch its ticket.  K-State wins at Baylor and at Mizzou, going from a team that looked to be on the wrong side of the bubble to a team that can't be left out.

The team just needs to keep it's eye on the ultimate goal...that said, one game at a time.

but whats wrong with saying if they all of those games one at a time, they could possibly get a 1 seed? also its true, mu would be in the mix for 1.

If we could win both games this week, a chance to move ahead a couple more spots in the polls as well:

-We'd pass Georgetown
-We could pass the Mizzou/Kansas loser (either #3 losing two games in a week including a 10 point loss at home to an unranked team, or #4/#5 losing a home game).
-#5/#4 Duke plays at FSU, who it lost to at home previously.
-#7 UNC plays at Virginia.

Even a chance to move from up a couple spots from #8 in the RPI.  Just keep winning!

Win and the ranking and seeds take care of themselves.

I really don't care where we are ranked, rankings only matter in as much as they help MU's seed in the NCAA tourney. Don't get me wrong I hope the Warriors win out and get a 2 seed but we are going to have to play through Missouri and  Baylor and the Michigan State etc..... Here is to playing on a Monday in April. GO Warriors!!

KState is not a team I want to face in the tournament.  They had two head-scratching losses to Oklahoma and will probably get underseeded because of their record, but Frank Martin always seems to have that team playing hard, just like Buzz.  They're a pretty young team that could be peaking at the right time like us last year.

Agreed.  But yes, I'd play my ass off for Martin.  Anything to avoid the death stare.

MUBurrow

I hate watching Frank Martin. I imagine there's a ton that goes on behind the scenes to make his guys a) want to play for him in the first place and b) make them love him once they're there - but watching him he just looks awful. I'm not saying this to sound too touchy feely, and certainly there's a time to chew your guys out and really let em have it, but to see him absolutely lose his mind over the smallest mistakes even when its not related to hustle, etc makes me want to puke.

Agreed.  It's like a character he's playing.  I saw a K State player miss one free throw (ONE).  Within 30 seconds you would've thought the player had pushed Martin's wife off a cliff.

The death stare is highly entertaining (and scary as piss), but would grow old quickly.
