According to this week's Tuesday Truth's ND's efficiency margin was 4th in the BE.  They were as close to us (2nd) as they were to 6th place Cincy.  They will probably be about the same next week as well with the two games this week.  Marquette's will obviously be better.  I think ND is good, not as good as MU or Georgetown.

In all honesty, I think the mods do a great job of running this site and am glad that a free site is much better than a paid, blindly loyal site.  But how in the hell is a guy like this still around when a guy like chicos is banned?  It makes absolutely no sense.  I'm not saying chicos shouldn't be banned, but at least he brought insight into the board.  I don't mind a good (or even a not-so-good debate...see: The Equalizer), but this fool is clearly a (UW or ND) troll and brings absolutely nothing valuable to this board.  I get that he hasn't called out posters names like chicos did, but the crap he says, especially what he said about Vander, is an absolute joke.  If this guy isn't all about getting attention for himself then I don't know anybody who is, including chicos and hoopaloop.  Just because those 2 sometimes go over the edge and aren't always 100% positive towards Marquette, at least they give credit when it is due to Marquette and their criticisms are typically true, although they sometimes overexaggerate them.  Godzilla is just a blind troll.

I think I'd cry if I were a Nova fan this year.  After being used to always being a tourney team, being "young" has to be a lame excuse when they were up 18 against us and 20 against Notre Dame in home games.

Nova's shot selection in the second half was beyond stupid, but that's what you get when your best player and field general isn't playing. But you are right about the "young" excuse; at this point in the year you'd think those freshmen would be getting better.

I did give the devil their due.  Guess you glossed over that part of my comment.  That doesn't mean I have to be completely sold on them.  I am not.  To you, that makes me foolish.  Frankly, I will have to live with that in-depth assessment.

Why do people keep saying this? There's a lot of b-ball left to play. I could easily see MU going 4-0 down the stretch and ND and Gtown both going 3-1 (the 3 most likely contenders for the #2 spot). We'll see.

MuMac says how lucky the Irish are.  I don't recall him saying how luck MU was to play Louisville in Milwaukee without two of their best players.  The Irish went to Louisville and won.  It all works out in the end.  They beat us by almost 20 points.  They beat Syracuse.  They beat West Virginia on the road, a task we still have to accomplish later this season.  

Earlier in the season, they looked pretty bad.  Losing to Maryland, Missouri, Georgia, Gonzaga by large margins.  They played Indiana so-so but lost.  Losing to Rutgers was another one.  Since then, they have found a way.  Give them their due.  They have some tough games coming up and we can still pass them up.
