How about the passing clinic put on by Cadougan?

Really entertaining when he gets out in the open court like that.  One of his best games in an MU uni.  Nice to see after a shaky game at ND.  Hope he can play like this against a top team like he did against WVU in the BEast tourney last year.

this team is a joke - pathetic performance...

it does not matter if they make the tourney - without Gardner, this team is lost, plays pathetic - may not win another game this year...

Hey my blood pressure was about as high as yours BUT dam that's a pretty strong statement not winning again....How do you feel after, breathing now?

Two comments upon reading the first four pages of posts ... most of the these posts showed the vision of a buried rock.

Two, putting the game into context, one of the greatest, most competitive race horses of all time, always broke late from the gate, except in one race. Name the horse.

Now, name the basketball team with the same characteristic.

What is amusing is the disappearance of the people who make the ridiculous negative posts once the team starts playing better. right 4everwarriors?

I won't blanket the statement, but many people get caught up in the heat of the moment from time to time and make statements they wish they wouldn't have.  They get embarassed and stay away from awhile.  I take their comments differently than the frequent whiners.  I haven't seen madtownwarrior as a frequent whiner, and suspect they see things differently now.

I just wish people would think a little.  Post cogent basketball thoughts and not heat of the moment "WE SUCK!!!" thoughts.  It might not be bad for people to stay away during the games.

I agree.  During a game, it's sometimes start a comment and then realize it could come off negatively and just delete the comment all toghether.

accountability is nice once in a while. I do get the being pissed at your team during the heat of a game, but then support them when they turn it around as well.

After the whole "Vander high five" debacle, I have pledged to stay away of game threads.  I've made a couple halftime observations, but that's about it.

We have 25 minutes of game left.  12 point game, and it is Depaul.

Remembering the ND game, hope I don't have to eat this post.

You guys are right about some of the posters being negative.  They do get old, boring, and predictable.

I post frequently during the games, and enjoy posts from folks like NYG who always adds good insight on in-game statisitcs.  There are also many other good posters too that make the game interesting.  Just gotta take the good with the bad.

I haven't done the flash chat, as I use an I-pad and Steve Jobs won't let me access flash.  Is flash chat any better for content....less booring negativity?

This morning I decided to read the game thread to see how it mirrored my feelings at the game last night.  Bottom line, many of the thoughts expressed here in 'real time' are exactly what I was feeling as the game progressed.  'Rebound!!!' 'Man, will DePaul ever miss?' Followed by 'We need one helluva run here at the end of the first half.' And so on.

I'm sure I expressed some of those publically.  Given my seats, I know a few were heard by players.  One in particular stood out when I exclaimed 'Hit the shot DJO!' just as he caught in rhythm and drained a 3 at the start of the second half very close to my vantage point.  He looked over on his backpedal down court and gave me a knowing smile.  Trust me, they get frustrated too.
