Outside of Wilson, I haven't heard of any of this guys.   And we are not listed at all with Nunn.  So I don't know how accurate this really is.

Anyone venturing out to watch Burton v. Nolan on Friday as Vincent and Riverside play at Riverside?  I'm excited to see them both in person.

Agree, also I think we are recruiting Tommy Hamilton from Whitney Young.

Is there any chance the Vincent - Riverside game will be televised?

That kid can flatout play. To bad hes from Indiana and has an offer from Ohio State already.

Sounds like a good fit for Marquette.

I think I saw that it'll be on Sports 32 on Time Warner.

Saw Steve Taylor run up to Buzz after the game yesterday.

Blackhat

This was from a couple weeks back, Rivals talking good stuff about Taylor and Simeon against Hendersen.

"The key to Simeon's bounceback win on a national stage was the inspired interior play of Marquette-bound big man Steve Taylor. Too many times in the past, the 6-foot-8 four man has been content to park himself on the perimeter and lob up three-point jumpers. The ability to hit a jumper from deep is a big part of Taylor's game, but by going inside and using his quickness and length, along with mixing in baseline drives, made the Rivals150 senior much more valuable to his team. Not so surprisingly, he was also difficult to defend while playing an energetic, versatile game on the offensive end and the glass."

Taylor sounds like the real deal.  Outstanding athletic "big" for MU!

Deonte Burton = Top 15?

Shrug.  Don't know, but that's what Scout says.  MU listed in honorable mention after the top 10.

Also getting some love for the 2012 class for honorable mention.   http://scouthoops.scout.com/2/1156470.html   Can't believe Duke is not in the top 25.

He is higher rated than most other recruits committed to top 10 teams. More curious is Florida at 7 with only one recruit that isn't a top-100.

So we have four newcomers next year? Is that right? Durley, Taylor, Taylor & Ferguson? We have two graduating and we have the one scholarship being used by whats his face so is that three scholarships in total. Hate to open a big can of worms that's been discussed before but can someone bring me up to speed. Am i missing something? Thanks!

Should be a good game for him to visit.  Im anticipating the best student turnout of the year so far and its National Marquette Day which should make the atmosphere better as well.  Would never argue with the #2 PG coming here.

Jake Thomas will be a walk-on next year.   Buzz tossed him a bone this year since he had open scholarships.    So, 13 schollie limit.   11 on schollie this year (plus the gift to Thomas).   2 graduating.   4 coming.   13 schollies being used next year.    We will leave the potential transfer issue for a different thread.

It's still early for evaluating 2013.  Many schools have no commitments, yet.  MU's ranking will drop considerably as more players commit unless more schollies open up so MU can add more recruits.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Or we will jump in the top 5 if we get a commitment from Nunn  :)
