No matter who was playing there. Reminded me of the cuse game. The announcers made a point to say MU didn't play bad, ND was just executing perfectly.
Hats off to them, refocus, move on and take care of business at DP.

...except to a team that would have played better defense, rebounded, made shots, been coached better, and not turned the ball over repeatedly.  Other than that, ND totally would NOT HAVE BEEN DENIED.

Why? Was it St. Patrick's Day or somethin'?

No.

ND shot 50% for the day, 48 from 3. Awfully tough to beat a team on the road when they shoot that well.

Feel like we missed an opportunity at about the 11 min mark. Down two, had a couple shots to tie it and couldn't convert. After that I think they hit 9 in a rown and forced buzz to burn 3 TO's.

A large part of their 3 pt. success was our defense on those shots sucked complete ass. Left shooters uncontested and rotated slowly on others. Gambling defenses play the odds. Most times you win. This appears to be Buzz' 3 pt. defense philosophy.

The Red Hot Fighting Dick Shines aka Notre Dame. I'd rather lose to Depaul than lose to them like that!

No Luck Needed on the front page of ESPN,of course only when we lose. The article only talks about them losing there best
player but not about our injuries. Typical..

This is the most accurate take I've read since I got back from South Bend.

This game was basically the opposite of last year when we dominated them by 22 at the BC.  We were raining three from everywhere and probably would have beaten any team in the country that night.  It happens.  On to DePaul.

At least half of Connaughton's 3's were open looks resulting from double-teaming the post.  Actually, I agree with the strategy... ND came into the game ranked 200th of 344 D-I teams in FG shooting %age.  I'd much rather double-down against their relative strength (the inside game) and make them overcome their weakness to beat you.  That's what MU did, and Kudos to ND, that's exactly what they did.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Benny, you just DO NOT understand.  We suck.  Get over yourself.  Your analysis is correct, but we still suck.

I understand that we suck, but it makes me feel better when I understand why we suck and what we need to do to suck less in the future.  But even then, if we don't suck less enough to win the National Championship, then we'll still suck enough so that we can agree we suck.

We just need to get everyone else to understand.

Not only double teaming the post, but getting beat off the dribble because...wait for it....wait for it... we over extended our defense!!!

It was a nightmare in their.  I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  Even Buzz admitted later that if DG had played it would have mattered absolutely not one bit.

That also was my first thought. However, I am not sure that is true. When we do not have a center Buzz collapses the defense to protect the middle, which leaves more opportunities for three pointers. Given the fact that Notre Dame for the season was shooting under 30% from three it seemed like a good idea to concentrate on the inside game.
