Majerus is a great recruiter plus coach.  He definitely likes the challenge - Ball st & Utah.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

I'd say he picked a school as similar to MU as he could find!! I'm hoping he has great success at SLU.

Certainly not jealous of SLU considering what Marquette has in a coach and program, but wish Rick all of the best and I believe as long as his health holds up, he will do very well.  Recruiting will be a challenge and he must have strong recruiters in place to help him, as he readily has admitted he isn't all that interested in recruiting anymore.

I'm very happy for SLU. It's good to see something so positive for a fellow Jesuit school. There no reason that they can't duplicate what's been done at Creighton or Xavier in recent years.

I agree that there is no reason they shouldn't be successful...and both Creighton and Xavier have had success in recent memory.  However, I wouldn't compare Creighton and Xavier's programs.  Xavier has been doing it for several decades....Miller, Matta, Prosser, Gillen and before ......and they have had much greater post-season success.  Creighton hasn't made the Sweet 16 once under Altman.
